This book will be great to add ideas, lessons, and activities to expand our "Bucket Fillers" program. I am looking forward to using this as a way to start the new school year. Poems included are excellent and I am a firm believer that poetry is the way to get their attention in any grade. So I would definitely recommend this book as I will be able to use it in many lessons across grades K-5 and grab them at the beginning of any lesson with poems in the book or my own poems. There are also different pages that can be reproduced to make any lesson stand out with the impact of involving the students. That's always a big piece of whether a lesson is going to be successful or not. If you don't get their attention to start you are often just spinning your wheels and getting frustrated doing that! So I really feel this book is an excellent jumping board for students in K-5th grade.Sharon

I am a 5th grade teacher and purchased this book late last school year. I immediately began incorporating some of the lessons and character building activities into my end-of-year routine. The students enjoyed the poems and activities and I know it helped remind them of the simple things we can do to "fill each other's buckets" on a daily basis. I am excited to start the next school year with the activities in this book...what a great way to set the stage for a classroom of students who show respect, care for one another, and want to brighten the lives of their classmates with kind gestures. I will certainly continue using this book throughout the whole school year. It is an excellent resource for any grade level!
